Playing leading role in price stabilization

Petrolimex Saigon was established on Sept. 17, 1975 as a subsidiary of the Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation – the Ministry of Industry and Trade. After the liberation of the country, Petrolimex Saigon took over three oil companies including Shell, Esso and Caltex. Since then, the company has strengthened the organization and safely and effectively operated the systems and technical infrastructure of the petroleum supply network, successfully serving the national construction and defence.

In the national renewal process, Petrolimex Saigon is a leading unit in implementing policies and strategies to adapt quickly to the market economy mechanisms. The company constantly developed its market, becoming one of the country’s most trusted trademarks. The petroleum market is currently experiencing many fluctuations, affecting people’s lives and enterprises.

Petrolimex Saigon, under the leadership of State and the parent corporation and with efforts by all staff, effectively helped stabilize prices, and supplied petroleum to serve socio-economic development and ensure stability and security throughout the nation. The company has received millions litres of fuels from thousands of tankers and maintained a key role in stabilizing the domestic petroleum market.

With an output of receiving and exporting over 5 million cu.m a year at the Nha Be Petroleum General Warehouse, Petrolimex Saigon has an unrivalled distribution system of petroleum and petrochemical products for wholesale, export and retail sale, with nearly 70 stations located in almost every district.
