Dissemination of the 2023 Electronic Transactions Law to Petrolimex Saigon employees

On July 3, Petrolimex Saigon organized a class to disseminate the 2023 Electronic Transactions Law to the Board of Directors, heads of departments/ divisions/ centers, and specialists involved in electronic transactions.

The class on the 2023 Electronic Transactions Law (passed by the XV National Assembly on June 22, 2023, and effective from July 1, 2024) promptly provided new information to Petrolimex Saigon employees

The 2023 Electronic Transactions Law was passed by the XV National Assembly on June 22, 2023, to strengthen and perfect the legal framework, facilitating the transition of activities from the physical to the digital environment. The law officially takes effect on July 1, 2024. Compared to previous regulations, the 2023 Electronic Transactions Law has expanded its scope and subjects of application to suit the development of Industry 4.0 and the digital economy.

In this development trend, digital transformation is a strategic priority for the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) in general and Petrolimex Saigoni in particular. Therefore, disseminating the 2023 Electronic Transactions Law as soon as it becomes effective is crucial to providing information, training, and enhancing the knowledge and skills of the company's staff in electronic transactions, as well as understanding legal regulations to implement e-commerce activities and create a safe legal environment.

Lecturer of the class: Master Nguyen Minh Nhut, from Hutech University

More than 100 participants, including members of the Board of Directors, heads of departments/divisions/centers of the company, Saigon Petroleum Branch, Nha Be Petroleum General Warehouse, and specialists involved in electronic transactions attended the class.

Master Nguyen Minh Nhut, a lecturer from Hutech University, provided important content of the law, such as distinguishing between the concepts of electronic transactions and e-commerce; data messages; electronic signatures and trusted services; the formation and execution of electronic contracts; and information systems serving electronic transactions.

During the class, lecturer Nguyen Minh Nhut also answered participants' queries and offered numerous recommendations for practical operational activities.

At the end of the course, Deputy Director Dao Van Hung thanked the lecturer and emphasized that digital transformation has been, is, and will continue to be a crucial development strategy for the Group and the Company. Digital transformation affects all areas and activities of departments/divisions/centers and employees. Therefore, early understanding and preparation of knowledge and skills to work in the digital economy are top priorities for the company's staff, aiming to create a safe legal environment for future online activities.
