On August 17, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/Corporation - stock code: PLX) was honored as the revenue champion in the "Top 50 Best Listed Companies in Vietnam" for the year 2023 by Forbes Vietnam. This marks the 7th consecutive time that the Corporation has received this title since Petrolimex, with stock code PLX, was officially listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) on April 21, 2017.

This year, the 11th edition of Forbes Vietnam's Top 50 Best Listed Companies features fewer new names compared to previous years. The banking sector has the highest representation with six entities, whereas real estate and raw materials have halved their number of representatives.
According to data published by Forbes Vietnam, the total after-tax profits of the 50 companies on the list reached 228.096 trillion VND, marking an 18% increase compared to the 2022 list. The total revenue reached 1.490.453 trillion VND, a 24.9% rise. As usual, Petrolimex secures the top spot in terms of revenue, with Vietcombank maintaining its position as the leader in terms of profit.
To carry out the "Top 50 Best Listed Companies" list for the year 2023, the companies listed on HoSE and HNX are evaluated through several steps. In the preliminary round, companies need to meet the conditions of profitability in 2022, minimum revenue, and market capitalization of 500 billion VND... In the next round, companies are quantitatively scored on year-over-year growth rates in revenue and profit...
Next, Forbes Vietnam conducts qualitative research to assess the sustainable development level of enterprises, including: the company's position in the industry, the source of profits, the quality of corporate management, industry prospects... The market capitalization is finalized on May 30, 2023, and the data used for calculations are from the audited consolidated financial statements of the year 2022.
