On March 22nd.2018, Chairman of Petrolimex Saigon (Company) Nguyen Van Canh presided the meeting about the exploitation of Automatic Tank Gauging system (ATG) to serve the cargo management, petroleum delivery and accounting at Nha Be Oil Terminal.
Overview the meeting
Attending and co-presiding the meeting there was Director of Petrolimex Saigon Trinh Ba Bo, The Company’s Board of Directors; Directors of subsidiaries, Heads of related departments and ATG system research team.
The ATG of Petrolimex Saigon has been installed since 1998. The equipment was stable, certified by VMI and used for internal inventory only. However, due to subjective and objective reasons, the Company has not exploited the ATG data in the important right role for the management/administer of Enterprise/Terminal facilities, delivery as well as commercial transactions with customers.
In 2013, the legal basis of the ATG was firmly established in Circular 23/2013 / TT-BKHCN of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Decision 223 / QĐ-TĐC dated 02.13.2015 of the General Directorate of Standard Measurement of measuring devices approval and Decision No.101/ PLX-QD-TGD dated 03.23.2015 of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) on petroleum delivery - accept qualified ATG.
Presided the meeting, Petrolimex Saigon Chairman Nguyen Van Canh said that Petrolimex has promoted the automation of the management / operation of core terminals, especially the management and delivery of petroleum products. It is also the determination willness, orientation throughout the group development strategy of the BOD. At the same time, it was requested to set up the Commission deployment and exploitation ATG data with the following tasks:
(1) Prior to 06/30 - Urgently strengthening the ATG system to ensure accuracy, stable operation and stability; Issuing regulations / procedures for the application of ATG data in the management, delivery and receipt of petroleum products of the Company and commercial transactions;
(2) Reporting to the Group and announcing applicable roadmap to subsidiaries (Inspection organization, transport units, customer, ...); It is necessary to organize a conference between the parties involved to exchange information and coordinate implementation;
3) During the third quarter, ATG data control in general, calibration and independent verification of all ATG equipments ensure the accuracy, efficiency and robustness of the ATG data to be applied from 01.10.2018.

The exploitation of ATG data for cargo management, petroleum delivery and accounting is a necessary, and important step in corporate governance; At the same time, it can meet the requirements of improving labor productivity, minimizing human impact in the chain of operations, minimizing errors and ensuring transparency in dealing with customers. It is necessary for the Company to achieve the management objectives, reflect the vision and determination of the BOD in continuously improving the management capacity of the Company in the modern direction in accordance with the development trend of Industrial Revolution 4.0 - "Taking you Further".
