On July 21, 2024, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Saigon Petroleum Branch, in collaboration with the Executive Committee of the Office Youth Union of Petrolimex Saigon, organized the third "Green Sunday" of 2024. This event aimed to enhance the proactive spirit of youth members in responding to climate change. The "Green Sunday" activities fostered a sense of responsibility among each staff member and youth union member in the Company/Branch regarding environmental protection.
Participants of "Green Sunday" included members of the executive committee of the Office Youth Union of Petrolimex Saigon, the executive committee of the Youth Union of Saigon Petroleum Branch, and representatives from the Executive Committee of subordinate youth unions.
As part of "Green Sunday,"the Office Youth Union of Petrolimex Saigon and the Youth Union of Saigon Petroleum Branch coordinated activities such as: cleaning the entire sales area, polishing equipment and tools used for sales (pumps, fire extinguishers, signs, etc.), reorganizing storage areas, trimming greenery, and collecting plastic waste at Petrolimex - Store 04 and Store 37. Additionally, they promoted the practice of 5S among employees, thereby enhancing a scientific work environment, improving morale, and increasing labor productivity at affiliated gas stations.
The third "Green Sunday" of 2024 took place in an enthusiastic and vibrant atmosphere. It provided an opportunity for youth members to interact, strengthen solidarity, and heighten each staff member's sense of responsibility toward environmental protection. Moreover, it encouraged the proactive, voluntary, and creative spirit of the youth in maintaining cleanliness, protecting the environment, and addressing climate change. It sparked a lively competition among the youth union to build a "Green - Clean - Beautiful" working environment.
Following the third "Green Sunday" of 2024, the Youth Union Branch continues to promote the "Green Sunday" movement among subordinate youth unions to actively propagate and motivate each staff member and youth member to engage in environmental cleanliness activities. This aims to deepen and sustain the "Green Sunday" activities, celebrating the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Saigon Petroleum Branch (August 1, 1989 - August 1, 2024).
